The meeting for INSIGHT project’s first year took place on January 15th, 2025, in St. Gallen, Switzerland. The General Assembly always marks the end of the first year of a project and the beginning of the second.
The assembly takes stock after one year of operation; thus, the topics of discussion are mainly the case studies and their current status, limitations – and results in general – available at this point of the research.
After an introduction of INSIGHT’s report, the single case studies were discussed during the morning session of the meeting. The centrepiece was exhibiting data collection, models and planning of the PFAS case study and those of the Graphene and Silica case studies.
After the lunch break the meeting resumed with a presentation from INSIGHT’s coordinator Professor Dario Greco, followed by co-working time and finally the discussion on how to effectively engage and communicate with the key people and stakeholders involved in the project.
Later in the afternoon, the “INSIGHT SSbD Framework & Stakeholders Acceptance” and “Dissemination, Exploitation & Communication” parts of the project were presented and discussed; after the last break another co-working session took place and finally an open floor session was established to make space for any other topic of discussion such as the INSIGHT website, the review meeting, the summer school and future events.
